LEXINGTON, S.C., July 6, 2018 —Hook + Gaff’s rugged durability and captivating, classic style will soon be available in a tide watch. This year at ICAST, attendees will get the first glimpse of the new Hook + Gaff King Tide Watch in addition to new watchstrap colors and designs including new woven leather straps.
Hook + Gaff King Tide watch is analog, as opposed to digital tide watches on the market. “There is a shift back to analog tide watches. Most digital tide watches have specific preprogrammed locations, like for Charleston and Wilmington for example. But the tides in those neighboring areas can be drastically different and more dramatic, so your tide watch won’t always be accurate. Our analog tide watch is awesome because it allows the wearer to set the precise local tide and location that you’re fishing,” said Michael Simms, founder of Hook + Gaff Watch Company.

The G-10 nylon strap is inspired by the early 1970s British Ministry of Defense Standard (Def Stan) 66-15s, sometimes called G10s. Made with ballistic-grade nylon, this strap is thick and durable, making it unstoppable in any outdoor setting. You can change up your style with over 15 woven strap options in solid colors and striped patterns.
The Italian rubber on these straps is nonporous and is infused with vanilla, allowing the material to repel odors that life outdoors may throw your way. With a stainless steel, double-security clasp, the salt and sand are no match for this durable strap. Check out over 20 colors for men and women!
