BECAUSE HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME MATTERS

MISSION MINUTE

At Hook and Gaff, our mission has always been about more than just keeping time; it’s about making it count. That’s why we’re so excited about our partnership with Ducks Unlimited, the world leader in wetlands conservation.

This collaboration isn’t just about creating beautiful, durable watches; it’s about protecting the habitats and traditions that inspire them. Every Ducks Unlimited x Hook and Gaff watch helps fund efforts to restore and preserve wetlands across North America, ensuring that future generations can experience the same dawn hunts, quiet waters, and outdoor adventures we treasure today.

For us, this partnership embodies Time Well Spent . . . time spent outdoors, giving back, and standing for something that lasts.

Together, we’re keeping time — and protecting it.

TIME FOR INSPIRATION

Because We ALL Can Be Inspired to Spend Our Time Intentionally

Why We Believe in Ducks Unlimited

We thought it would be helpful to share a quick overview of what Ducks Unlimited (DU) does and why we feel so strongly about their mission.

What Is a Wetland?
Wetlands are low-lying areas saturated with water for at least part or all of the year. They are home to a remarkable diversity of plant and animal life uniquely adapted to these conditions — from migratory waterfowl to amphibians, fish, and countless plant species.

The Importance of Wetlands
Wetlands are among the most productive and valuable ecosystems on Earth. They provide critical benefits for waterfowl, wildlife, and people — making their conservation a global priority. They:
  • Filter and purify water naturally
  • Reduce flooding by absorbing excess rainfall
  • Recharge groundwater supplies
  • Capture and store carbon, supporting climate balance
  • Provide vital habitat for countless species
  • Wetlands are essential for ducks, wildlife, people, and a sustainable future.
For Waterfowl, Fish, and Wildlife
Wetlands serve as essential habitats for a vast range of species — from the ducks that migrate across North America to the fish that rely on clean, oxygen-rich waters.

This interconnected web of life reminds us that when we conserve wetlands, we protect entire ecosystems ensuring that future generations can experience the same outdoor beauty and abundance we enjoy today.

That’s why we’re proud to stand with Ducks Unlimited — protecting the wild places that make “Time Well Spent” possible.

TIME FOR A CHALLENGE

Because Time Well Spent Starts With One Intentional Choice

This week, we’re challenging you to take Time Well Spent one step further by finding a way to support wetlands conservation.

Whether it’s making a small donation to Ducks Unlimited, volunteering for a local cleanup or restoration project, or simply learning more about the wetlands near you, every action helps protect the habitats that sustain wildlife and our way of life.
