BECAUSE HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME MATTERS

MISSION MINUTE

October reminds us that time is precious—and powerful. Cancer Awareness Month isn’t just about wearing a ribbon; it’s about investing our minutes in ways that honor fighters, celebrate survivors, and support families walking the hard road right now. At Hook & Gaff, “Time Well Spent” means showing up: for screenings, for loved ones, and for the organizations turning compassion into care.

This week, For every women’s watch purchased from our Sportfisher 3 line, we’ll donate 10% of the proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

It’s our way of honoring the fighters, celebrating the survivors, and remembering those we’ve lost—all while supporting the incredible work being done to find a cure!

TIME FOR INSPIRATION

Because We ALL Can Be Inspired to Spend Our Time Intentionally

Sometimes “Time Well Spent” means stepping out of your comfort zone—and onto a stage . . for a cause that truly matters. This year, Hook & Gaff co-founder Gash Clayton’s wife was convinced by her dear friend to take part in the Sync for Survivors Lip Sync Battle in Greenville, SC. Her mission? To raise awareness, rally donations for the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance, and—let’s be honest—embarrass their pre-teens in the process.

We’d say it was a success! The Pink Glam-Mas raised an incredible $28,720, and together all the teams raised over $250,000—every dollar going directly to the life-changing services that support cancer patients, survivors, and their families.

It was a night filled with laughter, love, sparkles, and a whole lot of heart—a perfect reminder that joy and purpose often meet in the same moment. If you’re looking for a smile today, check out the Glam-Mas bringing new meaning to The Pink Pony Club—and proving that time spent lifting others up is always time well spent.

TIME FOR A CHALLENGE

Because Time Well Spent Starts With One Intentional Choice

Spend your time well this month:

  • Screen & Share: Schedule your routine screenings (and text a friend to do the same). Early detection saves lives.

  • Show Up for Caregivers: Drop off a meal, offer a school pickup, sit with a patient during treatment, or send a handwritten note. Small acts lift heavy days.

  • Support Local Impact: Donate, volunteer, or attend a fundraiser for cancer support groups and survivorship programs in your community.

  • Honor & Remember: Say their names, tell their stories, and celebrate milestones—ringing the bell, finishing a round of chemo, or simply making it through a tough week.

  • Unplug & Be Present: Give someone the gift of undivided attention—coffee on a porch, a slow walk, a shared laugh.

This month—and every month—let’s make our hours count for those who need them most. That’s Time Well Spent.
