Like to keep an eye on the skies? Humans have turned to the moon for thousands of years, but tracking has never been more effective or sophisticated than it is with our New Sportfisher Moonphase watch, an update to the original Sportfisher model that we used to launch our business back in 2014.
The lunar cycle, or the time it takes to get from a new moon (when it’s not visible) to a full moon and back again, takes roughly 29.53 days. Our moon phase watch reflects what phase the moon is in as you see it in the sky.
Besides being a nod to tradition, the New Sportfisher Moonphase watch is a durable sport watch built for functional comfort. To minimize wrist irritation, the crown is designed on the left side of the case — a feature that’s unique to all Hook + Gaff watches. Additionally, this updated model utilizes H3 technology to provide 24-hour illumination of the dial's hour markers and hands — meaning that you can head out before dawn and don’t have to stop when the sun sets, allowing time for "one last cast." These trigalight® glass tubes manufactured by MB-Microtec in Switzerland create cutting edge luminosity that leads the way in our industry. Its titanium case is corrosion-resistant and water-tight to 200 meters, as well as being a poor conductor of heat — making it ideal for those brutal days in the sun and on the water.
The New Sportfisher Moonphase watch houses a custom Swiss quartz movement with moon phase and date functions. This feature is ideal for the ultimate outdoorsman observing the effects of the moon on fish and game.

I have had my Sportfisher Moonphase watch for a couple of weeks now and I love it!!! I have received numerous compliments on it and everyone asks "Where did you buy it?" I was impressed with the shipping, I ordered it at 11 am and received it the next day! I was also impressed with the personal touch. Received in the package, a hand written note from the owner, hat, can coozie, very nice watch case and stickers. Awesome experience !!

The fact that I have purchased four Hook & Gaff watches should speak for itself. The latest, the Sportfisher Moonphase, delivers what I expect from Hook & Gaff. The watch is light as a feather but looks substantial and is suited for work as well as play. The luminosity is impressive and the crown placement invites comment from others. Finally, the depth rating provides confidence in its durability in water. Big thumbs up.

I have loved wearing my watch since I bought it two weeks ago. I am enjoying the black rubber dive strap, however, I wish it was easier to distinguish the colors on the website, especially between black and charcoal gray. Also -- I took the rubber strap to 4 different jewelers and none of them would cut it to fit my wrist because they didn't want to the liability to be on them if they ruined it. I ended up cutting the strap myself which was fine, however a little stressful because I didn't want to cut it too short.

Amazing, 10/10 highly recommend! My only critique, I wish the illumination in the hour hand was slightly longer, perhaps 1/2 instead of 1/3 the length of the minutes hand illumination. Very pleased and Michael embodies paramount costumer service.
